Fantasy Bishball is the creation of LarryD, author of the blog Acts of the Apostasy.  This is actually the second incarnation of the new sport (for the first season – that ended badly – click here).

What is Fantasy Bishball?  It’s like Fantasy Football, or Fantasy Baseball, but instead of teams comprised of athletes, they’re made up of bishops.  Managers draft their players – bishops or cardinals – at the start of the season, they monitor their on-line activities week to week, assign points based on a pre-determined scoring system, and at the end of the season, a winner is crowned.

It’s just our way of following some of the shepherds of the Catholic Church.  We mean no disrespect of neither the man nor the office.  We love the Church, and are faithful to its leaders.  This is for fun and entertainment and some friendly competition among members of the on-line Catholic community.  In fact, for it to be any more fun, it might be sinful!
